Norway shares lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.11%
Credit: © Reuters. – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms , Utilities and Auto & components sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.11%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NWC ), which rose 8.76% or 10.55 points to trade at 131.00 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL: NHY ) added 2.09% or 0.79 points to end at 38.56 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL: BAKKA ) was up 2.02% or 8.60 points to 434.60 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL: GOGLT ), which lost 8.71% or 4.02 points to trade at 42.51 in late trade. Telenor ASA (OL: TEL ) declined 4.16% or 6.9 points to end at 159.1 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL: PGS ) shed 1.89% or 0.31 points to 16.07.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 106 to 75 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.89% or 1.54 to $54.85 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.96% or 1.20 to hit $62.40 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1309.80 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.35% to 9.6763, while USD/NOK fell 0.21% to 8.4769.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 95.618.
