Norway shares lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.17%

Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Auto & components , Telecoms and Media sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.17%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL: LSG ), which rose 2.12% or 1.3 points to trade at 60.6 at the close. Grieg Seafood (OL: GSFO ) added 1.90% or 1.70 points to end at 90.95 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL: MHG ) was up 1.17% or 2.00 points to 173.60 in late trade.

Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL: REC ), which lost 3.70% or 0.03 points to trade at 0.78 in late trade. Aker BP ASA (OL: AKERBP ) declined 1.72% or 5.00 points to end at 285.40 and Telenor ASA (OL: TEL ) shed 1.58% or 2.5 points to 159.1.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 96 to 80 and 25 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.07% or 1.42 to $70.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.03% or 0.77 to hit $75.53 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.40 to trade at $1221.60 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.15% to 9.5325, while USD/NOK fell 0.64% to 8.1376.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 94.09.
