Norway shares lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.30%

Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services , Technology Hardware & Equipment and Auto & components sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.30%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NWC ), which rose 5.11% or 14.00 points to trade at 287.13 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL: SALM ) added 0.57% or 2.00 points to end at 353.40 and Yara International ASA (OL: YAR ) was up 0.49% or 1.7 points to 345.2 in late trade.

Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL: REC ), which lost 2.24% or 0.02 points to trade at 1.00 in late trade. DNO International ASA (OL: DNO ) declined 1.84% or 0.27 points to end at 14.16 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL: NHY ) shed 1.81% or 0.96 points to 52.18.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 128 to 47 and 28 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.74% or 1.14 to $64.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.74% or 0.56 to hit $74.78 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.16% or 2.10 to trade at $1278.00 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.38% to 9.4816, while USD/NOK rose 0.79% to 8.1911.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 94.71.
