Norway shares lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.36%
Credit: © Reuters. – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms , Insurance and Media sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.36%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL: GOGLT ), which rose 2.31% or 1.80 points to trade at 80.63 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL: YAR ) added 2.25% or 8.8 points to end at 396.1 and Aker BP ASA (OL: AKERBP ) was up 1.71% or 5.80 points to 345.40 in late trade.

Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL: REC ), which lost 2.24% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.63 in late trade. Telenor ASA (OL: TEL ) declined 2.03% or 3.3 points to end at 159.1 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL: GJFS ) shed 2.00% or 2.8 points to 137.2.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 85 and 23 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.72% or 1.24 to $73.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 2.00% or 1.63 to hit $83.01 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.76% or 9.00 to trade at $1196.40 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.38% to 9.4574, while USD/NOK fell 0.26% to 8.1357.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 94.62.
