Norway shares lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.42%

Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms , Utilities and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.42%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker ASA (OL: AKER ), which rose 2.13% or 14.0 points to trade at 670.0 at the close. Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL: LSG ) added 1.60% or 1.0 points to end at 63.4 and Aker BP ASA (OL: AKERBP ) was up 1.56% or 4.60 points to 300.40 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Orkla ASA (OL: ORK ), which lost 2.10% or 1.48 points to trade at 68.96 in late trade. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL: NHY ) declined 1.77% or 0.84 points to end at 46.72 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NWC ) shed 1.43% or 3.80 points to 262.80.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 104 to 78 and 21 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.46% or 0.32 to $69.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.40% or 0.31 to hit $77.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.58% or 7.00 to trade at $1204.50 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.24% to 9.7319, while USD/NOK rose 0.34% to 8.3580.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 94.81.
