Norway shares lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.76%

Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities , Energy and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.76%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NWC ), which rose 4.30% or 8.55 points to trade at 207.60 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL: GOGLT ) added 4.25% or 2.55 points to end at 62.44 and Norwegian Finans Holding ASA (OL: NOFI ) was up 1.34% or 0.90 points to 67.90 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL: PGS ), which lost 5.79% or 0.89 points to trade at 14.50 in late trade. Aker BP ASA (OL: AKERBP ) declined 2.84% or 7.00 points to end at 241.96 and Subsea 7 SA (OL: SUBC ) shed 2.75% or 2.4 points to 85.5.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 110 to 74 and 19 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.43% or 0.73 to $51.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.86% or 0.52 to hit $60.67 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 2.35 to trade at $1247.65 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.12% to 9.7324, while USD/NOK fell 0.05% to 8.5666.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 97.102.
