Norway shares lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.87%

Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Diversified Financials , Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.87%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were P/f Bakkafrost (OL: BAKKA ), which rose 0.89% or 3.80 points to trade at 431.20 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NWC ) added 0.54% or 1.10 points to end at 203.60 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL: PGS ) was up 0.44% or 0.09 points to 19.38 in late trade.

Biggest losers included SalMar ASA (OL: SALM ), which lost 3.43% or 16.60 points to trade at 467.60 in late trade. Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL: LSG ) declined 3.34% or 2.5 points to end at 72.4 and Subsea 7 SA (OL: SUBC ) shed 2.81% or 2.6 points to 90.5.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 98 to 84 and 24 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.32% or 0.72 to $53.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.12% or 0.71 to hit $62.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.30 to trade at $1228.30 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.27% to 9.7360, while USD/NOK rose 0.07% to 8.5351.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 96.382.
