Norway shares lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 1.52%
Credit: © Reuters. – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Energy , Diversified Financials and Commercial Service And Supplies sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.52% to hit a new 6-month low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL: GOGLT ), which rose 3.88% or 2.20 points to trade at 58.95 at the close. Schibsted ASA A (OL: SBSTA ) added 1.94% or 5.6 points to end at 294.9 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NWC ) was up 0.74% or 1.50 points to 205.10 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Aker BP ASA (OL: AKERBP ), which lost 5.09% or 12.00 points to trade at 224.97 in late trade. Subsea 7 SA (OL: SUBC ) declined 4.86% or 4.4 points to end at 105.0 and DNO International ASA (OL: DNO ) shed 4.18% or 0.57 points to 12.96.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 113 to 68 and 22 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 6.81% or 3.72 to $50.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 6.33% or 3.96 to hit $58.64 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.40% or 4.90 to trade at $1223.10 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.14% to 9.7463, while USD/NOK rose 0.75% to 8.5994.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 96.838.
