Norway shares lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 2.48%
Credit: © Reuters. – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco , Commercial Service And Supplies and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 2.48% to hit a new 6-month low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL: GJFS ), which fell 0.89% or 1.2 points to trade at 134.4 at the close. Aker BP ASA (OL: AKERBP ) fell 1.26% or 2.80 points to end at 217.01 and Orkla ASA (OL: ORK ) was down 1.46% or 1.04 points to 69.96 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Grieg Seafood (OL: GSFO ), which lost 6.44% or 7.30 points to trade at 106.00 in late trade. SalMar ASA (OL: SALM ) declined 5.70% or 27.40 points to end at 453.40 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL: LSG ) shed 5.24% or 3.8 points to 68.0.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 155 to 31 and 20 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 4.15% or 2.00 to $46.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 3.72% or 2.13 to hit $55.11 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 6.65 to trade at $1263.05 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.20% to 9.9427, while USD/NOK fell 0.31% to 8.6954.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 96.047.
