Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Energy and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.06% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV), which rose 2.13% or 1.80 points to trade at 86.25 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 1.89% or 1.00 points to end at 53.85 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) was up 1.01% or 0.28 points to 28.08 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 5.62% or 0.82 points to trade at 13.77 in late trade. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) declined 4.38% or 4.9 points to end at 107.0 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) shed 3.86% or 1.44 points to 35.87.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 102 to 69 and 26 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.39% or 0.59 to $43.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.65% or 0.74 to hit $45.56 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 6.41 to trade at $1252.21 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.54% to 9.4754, while USD/NOK fell 0.37% to 8.4994.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 97.30.
