Peru shares higher at close of trade; S&P Lima General up 0.03% – Peru equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals , Mining and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.03%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Milpo (LM: MIL ), which rose 3.09% or 0.150 points to trade at 5.000 at the close. Rimac Seguros y Reaseguros (LM: RSR ) added 2.55% or 0.040 points to end at 1.610 and Relapasa (LM: REL ) was up 1.96% or 0.007 points to 0.364 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Candente Copper (LM: DNT ), which lost 6.45% or 0.0080 points to trade at 0.1160 in late trade. ENGIE Energia Peru SA (LM: ENGI ) declined 4.11% or 0.300 points to end at 7.000 and Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM: POM ) shed 2.89% or 0.005 points to 0.168.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 11 and 16 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.78% or 0.49 to $63.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.35% or 0.24 to hit $69.06 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 4.20 to trade at $1317.90 a troy ounce.

USD/PEN was up 0.06% to 3.2225, while EUR/PEN rose 0.35% to 3.8528.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 92.08.
