Peru shares higher at close of trade; S&P Lima General up 0.07%

Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking & Financials , S&P Lima Juniors and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.07%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Andino Investment Holding SAA (LM: AIH ), which rose 6.00% or 0.150 points to trade at 2.650 at the close. Credicorp (LM: BAP ) added 1.88% or 4.19 points to end at 227.59 and Southern Copper Corp (LM: SPC ) was up 1.81% or 0.94 points to 52.84 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Candente Copper (LM: DNT ), which lost 5.71% or 0.0040 points to trade at 0.0660 in late trade. Minsur (LM: MINi ) declined 4.49% or 0.080 points to end at 1.700 and Alicorp (LM: ALI ) shed 2.40% or 0.280 points to 11.400.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 15 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.97% or 1.35 to $69.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.82% or 1.34 to hit $74.96 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.90 to trade at $1315.60 a troy ounce.

USD/PEN was down 0.00% to 3.2729, while EUR/PEN fell 0.30% to 3.9153.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 92.42.
