Peru shares higher at close of trade; S&P Lima General up 0.19%

Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Mining , Electricity and Services sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.19%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM: TV ), which rose 10.17% or 0.060 points to trade at 0.650 at the close. Milpo (LM: MIL ) added 7.00% or 0.280 points to end at 4.280 and Minsur (LM: MINi ) was up 6.67% or 0.090 points to 1.440 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Panoro (LM: PML ), which lost 5.71% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.198 in late trade. Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM: ARE ) declined 2.04% or 0.020 points to end at 0.960 and Inretail Peru (LM: INR ) shed 1.92% or 0.500 points to 25.500.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 12 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.12% or 0.75 to $67.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $73.04 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1227.30 a troy ounce.

USD/PEN was down 0.09% to 3.2695, while EUR/PEN rose 0.08% to 3.8125.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 94.84.
