Peru shares higher at close of trade; S&P Lima General up 0.41% – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors , Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.41% to hit a new 3-year high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Panoro (LM: PML ), which rose 4.48% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.210 at the close. Unacem (LM: CEL ) added 2.88% or 0.070 points to end at 2.500 and Enel Distribucion Peru SAA (LM: ENE ) was up 2.61% or 0.140 points to 5.500 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Aceros Arequip (LM: AREi ), which lost 1.92% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.510 in late trade. Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM: ARE ) declined 1.49% or 0.010 points to end at 0.660 and Trevali Mining (LM: TV ) shed 0.88% or 0.010 points to 1.120.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 10 and 10 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.19% or 0.09 to $47.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $51.60 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.47% or 6.06 to trade at $1290.64 a troy ounce.

USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2375, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8087.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 93.42.
