Peru shares higher at close of trade; S&P Lima General up 0.60%

Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials , Mining and Electricity sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.60%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Andino Investment Holding SAA (LM: AIH ), which rose 10.24% or 0.260 points to trade at 2.800 at the close. Atacocha (LM: ATB ) added 5.26% or 0.030 points to end at 0.600 and Credicorp (LM: BAP ) was up 2.68% or 5.80 points to 222.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Grana Y Monter (LM: GRA ), which lost 6.25% or 0.100 points to trade at 1.500 in late trade. Panoro (LM: PML ) declined 3.92% or 0.010 points to end at 0.245 and Minsur (LM: MINi ) shed 2.38% or 0.040 points to 1.640.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 12 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 2.59% or 1.61 to $63.74 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $67.55 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.52% or 6.90 to trade at $1310.90 a troy ounce.

USD/PEN was down 0.51% to 3.2570, while EUR/PEN fell 0.92% to 4.0014.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 90.01.
