Peru shares higher at close of trade; S&P Lima General up 0.94% – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining , Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.94%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM: ATB ), which rose 11.11% or 0.060 points to trade at 0.600 at the close. Relapasa (LM: REL ) added 4.81% or 0.014 points to end at 0.305 and Buenaventura (LM: BVN ) was up 3.24% or 0.450 points to 14.320 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Enel Distribucion Peru SAA (LM: ENE ), which lost 1.70% or 0.100 points to trade at 5.800 in late trade. Bco Continenta (LM: CON ) declined 0.70% or 0.030 points to end at 4.250 and Casa Grande (LM: CSG ) shed 0.62% or 0.040 points to 6.450.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 5 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.13% or 0.64 to $57.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.80% or 0.50 to hit $62.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 5.75 to trade at $1281.05 a troy ounce.

USD/PEN was down 0.15% to 3.2365, while EUR/PEN fell 0.22% to 3.7993.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 93.86.
