Peru shares higher at close of trade; S&P Lima General up 1.32% – Peru equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals , Banking & Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 1.32% to hit a new 3-year high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM: GRA ), which rose 8.53% or 0.220 points to trade at 2.800 at the close. Panoro (LM: PML ) added 5.49% or 0.015 points to end at 0.288 and Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM: ARE ) was up 4.48% or 0.030 points to 0.700 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Minera Irl (LM: IRL ), which lost 11.11% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.08 in late trade. PPX Mining Corp (LM: PPX ) declined 8.45% or 0.01 points to end at 0.07 and Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM: POM ) shed 2.26% or 0.003 points to 0.130.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 30 to 8 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.03% or 0.50 to $49.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $54.07 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 5.23 to trade at $1339.27 a troy ounce.

USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2355, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8590.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 92.21.
