Peru shares higher at close of trade; S&P Lima General up 0.52% – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking & Financials , Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.52%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Unacem (LM: CEL ), which rose 2.83% or 0.070 points to trade at 2.540 at the close. Credicorp (LM: BAP ) added 1.67% or 2.70 points to end at 164.30 and Alicorp (LM: ALI ) was up 1.35% or 0.100 points to 7.500 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM: POM ), which lost 5.33% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.160 in late trade. Minera Irl (LM: IRL ) unchanged 2.73% or 0.00 points to end at 0.11 and Bolsa de Valores de Lima SAA (LM: BVL ) shed 2.65% or 0.090 points to 3.300.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 10 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.77% or 0.37 to $47.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $50.53 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.36% or 4.55 to trade at $1245.15 a troy ounce.

USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2480, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.5048.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 99.56.
