Peru shares lower at close of trade; S&P Lima General down 0.25% – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Mining , Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.25%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM: POM ), which rose 10.17% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.130 at the close. Panoro (LM: PML ) added 1.96% or 0.005 points to end at 0.260 and Grana Y Monter (LM: GRA ) was up 1.88% or 0.030 points to 1.630 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Buenaventura (LM: BVN ), which lost 2.58% or 0.400 points to trade at 15.100 in late trade. Milpo (LM: MIL ) declined 2.28% or 0.120 points to end at 5.150 and Unacem (LM: CEL ) shed 1.70% or 0.050 points to 2.900.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 14 and 12 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.77% or 0.47 to $60.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $64.77 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 6.00 to trade at $1326.80 a troy ounce.

USD/PEN was up 0.08% to 3.2625, while EUR/PEN rose 0.71% to 4.0423.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 89.70.
