Peru shares lower at close of trade; S&P Lima General down 0.47%

Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Mining , S&P Lima Juniors and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.47%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Sider (LM: SID ), which rose 6.25% or 0.040 points to trade at 0.680 at the close. Milpo (LM: MIL ) added 1.92% or 0.100 points to end at 5.300 and Grana Y Monter (LM: GRA ) was up 1.33% or 0.030 points to 2.280 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Andino Investment Holding SAA (LM: AIH ), which lost 8.78% or 0.260 points to trade at 2.700 in late trade. Relapasa (LM: REL ) declined 8.20% or 0.025 points to end at 0.280 and PPX Mining Corp (LM: PPX ) 2.78% or 0.00 points to 0.07.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 13 and 13 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.65% or 0.44 to $67.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $73.08 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1305.80 a troy ounce.

USD/PEN was up 0.55% to 3.2675, while EUR/PEN rose 0.27% to 3.9185.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 92.59.
