Peru shares lower at close of trade; S&P Lima General down 0.73%

Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking & Financials , Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.73% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Candente Copper (LM: DNT ), which rose 19.05% or 0.0120 points to trade at 0.0750 at the close. Relapasa (LM: REL ) added 2.19% or 0.006 points to end at 0.280 and Casa Grande (LM: CSG ) was up 2.12% or 0.110 points to 5.300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Minsur (LM: MINi ), which lost 3.53% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.640 in late trade. Trevali Mining (LM: TV ) declined 2.25% or 0.020 points to end at 0.870 and Grana Y Monter (LM: GRA ) shed 2.13% or 0.050 points to 2.300.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 9 and 12 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.32% or 0.23 to $71.54 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $79.28 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.20 to trade at $1290.10 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.17% to 3.2717, while EUR/PEN fell 0.40% to 3.8644.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 93.27.
