Portugal shares lower at close of trade; PSI 20 down 0.21%

Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials , Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.21% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS: MOTA ), which rose 1.66% or 0.0260 points to trade at 1.5960 at the close. Sonae SGPS SA (LS: YSO ) added 1.64% or 0.0135 points to end at 0.8385 and Corticeira Amorim (LS: CORA ) was up 1.42% or 0.130 points to 9.270 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Galp Energia Nom (LS: GALP ), which lost 2.05% or 0.3050 points to trade at 14.5550 in late trade. Semapa (LS: SEM ) declined 1.47% or 0.2200 points to end at 14.7600 and Ibersol SGPS (LS: IBS ) shed 1.44% or 0.120 points to 8.200.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 13 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.45% or 0.30 to $66.46 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.55% or 0.31 to hit $56.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 2.80 to trade at $1223.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.32% to 1.1451, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.8907.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 96.07.
