Portugal shares lower at close of trade; PSI 20 down 0.22%

Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials , Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS: IBS ), which rose 2.44% or 0.250 points to trade at 10.500 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS: JMT ) added 1.53% or 0.2000 points to end at 13.2450 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS: BCP ) was up 0.72% or 0.0019 points to 0.2641 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS: PHRA ), which lost 3.33% or 0.0080 points to trade at 0.2320 in late trade. Semapa (LS: SEM ) declined 2.04% or 0.4500 points to end at 21.6000 and Altri SGPS (LS: ALSS ) shed 1.76% or 0.1600 points to 8.9300.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 14 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.34% or 0.25 to $72.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $68.28 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 5.70 to trade at $1229.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.56% to 1.1708, while EUR/GBP fell 0.21% to 0.8927.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.64% at 94.37.
