Portugal shares lower at close of trade; PSI 20 down 0.38%

Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials , Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.38% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ramada Investimentos e Industria SA (LS: RAMA ), which rose 2.31% or 0.200 points to trade at 8.850 at the close. Mota Engil (LS: MOTA ) added 1.74% or 0.0260 points to end at 1.5200 and Corticeira Amorim (LS: CORA ) was up 1.43% or 0.130 points to 9.230 in late trade.
Biggest losers included The Navigator Company SA (LS: NVGR ), which lost 3.39% or 0.1280 points to trade at 3.6440 in late trade. Altri SGPS (LS: ALSS ) declined 3.08% or 0.2100 points to end at 6.6000 and Galp Energia Nom (LS: GALP ) shed 2.01% or 0.2950 points to 14.4050.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 16 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 4.78% or 2.99 to $59.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 5.95% or 3.25 to hit $51.38 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.60 to trade at $1223.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.57% to 1.1338, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.8851.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 96.800.
