Portugal shares lower at close of trade; PSI 20 down 0.40%

Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms , Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were The Navigator Company SA (LS: NVGR ), which rose 1.90% or 0.0820 points to trade at 4.4020 at the close. Semapa (LS: SEM ) added 1.62% or 0.2800 points to end at 17.5400 and EDP (LS: EDP ) was up 0.96% or 0.0300 points to 3.1500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sonae Capital (LS: SONAC ), which lost 5.41% or 0.0400 points to trade at 0.7000 in late trade. Pharol SGPS SA (LS: PHRA ) declined 3.67% or 0.0064 points to end at 0.1678 and Ibersol SGPS (LS: IBS ) shed 2.78% or 0.260 points to 9.100.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 10 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.14% or 0.12 to $84.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.21% or 0.16 to hit $75.14 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.41% or 16.80 to trade at $1208.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1560, while EUR/GBP rose 0.25% to 0.8900.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 95.03.
