Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Financials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.86%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which rose 2.42% or 0.1020 points to trade at 4.3200 at the close. Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) added 1.57% or 0.180 points to end at 11.680 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was up 0.82% or 0.1400 points to 17.2600 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 3.10% or 0.0650 points to trade at 2.0350 in late trade. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 2.43% or 0.0062 points to end at 0.2488 and EDP (LS:EDP) shed 1.83% or 0.0580 points to 3.1200.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 21 to 13 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 1.86% or 1.54 to $84.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.97% or 1.44 to hit $74.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.26% or 3.10 to trade at $1193.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.1575, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8878.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 94.94.
