Portugal shares lower at close of trade; PSI 20 down 1.39%

Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods , Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 1.39% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Semapa (LS: SEM ), which rose 1.14% or 0.2000 points to trade at 17.7000 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS: BCP ) added 0.04% or 0.0001 points to end at 0.2503 and REN (LS: RENE ) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.0000 points to 2.4240 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sonae Capital (LS: SONAC ), which lost 5.66% or 0.0480 points to trade at 0.8000 in late trade. Mota Engil (LS: MOTA ) declined 4.32% or 0.1050 points to end at 2.3250 and Galp Energia Nom (LS: GALP ) shed 3.66% or 0.6400 points to 16.8350.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 26 to 10 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.97% or 0.76 to $77.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.25% or 0.87 to hit $69.00 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 2.90 to trade at $1202.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.1623, while EUR/GBP fell 0.06% to 0.9006.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 95.13.
