Russia shares higher at close of trade; MICEX up 0.68%
Credit: © Reuters. – Russia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Power , Oil & Gas and Manufacturing sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Moscow, the MICEX rose 0.68%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the MICEX were FSK EES (MCX: FEES ), which rose 6.27% or 0.0108 points to trade at 0.1827 at the close. Rosseti ao (MCX: RSTI ) added 6.18% or 0.0675 points to end at 1.1600 and Tatneft-3 (MCX: TATN ) was up 4.61% or 17.60 points to 399.55 in late trade.

Biggest losers included ANK Bashneft OAO Pref (MCX: BANE_p ), which lost 3.32% or 45.5 points to trade at 1325.0 in late trade. MVideo (MCX: MVID ) declined 3.24% or 11.50 points to end at 343.40 and DIXY Group ao (MCX: DIXY ) shed 2.49% or 7.80 points to 305.50.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 117 to 108 and 27 ended unchanged on the Moscow Stock Exchange.

The Russian VIX , which measures the implied volatility of MICEX options, was down 1.27% to 26.380.

In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.01% or 0.10 to $1224.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.64% or 0.29 to hit $45.86 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.62% or 0.29 to trade at $46.92 a barrel.

USD/RUB was down 0.48% to 64.4683, while EUR/RUB fell 0.71% to 68.644.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.32% at 100.70.
