Russia shares lower at close of trade; MICEX down 1.10%
Credit: © Reuters. – Russia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas , Power and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Moscow, the MICEX fell 1.10%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the MICEX were MVideo (MCX: MVID ), which rose 11.12% or 39.10 points to trade at 390.60 at the close. NK RussNeft PAO (MCX: RNFT ) added 5.26% or 25.0 points to end at 500.1 and Tatneft OAO Pref (MCX: TATN_p ) was up 3.54% or 12.10 points to 353.90 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Aeroflot (MCX: AFLT ), which lost 3.85% or 6.10 points to trade at 152.50 in late trade. Lenta Ltd (MCX: LNTADR ) declined 3.43% or 12 points to end at 338 and Rosseti ao (MCX: RSTI ) shed 3.42% or 0.0299 points to 0.8451.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 170 to 60 and 11 ended unchanged on the Moscow Stock Exchange.

The Russian VIX , which measures the implied volatility of MICEX options, was down 0.73% to 17.700.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.68% or 8.76 to $1273.34 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.31% or 0.18 to hit $57.12 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.29% or 0.18 to trade at $62.35 a barrel.

USD/RUB was down 0.31% to 58.4346, while EUR/RUB rose 0.03% to 69.5225.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 92.98.
