Russia shares lower at close of trade; MOEX Russia down 0.43%
Credit: © Reuters. – Russia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms , Oil & Gas and Power sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia declined 0.43%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the MOEX Russia were NMTP (MCX: NMTP ), which rose 5.65% or 0.3650 points to trade at 6.8200 at the close. Yandex NV (MCX: YNDX ) added 2.28% or 49.50 points to end at 2220.00 and AK Transneft OAO Pref (MCX: TRNF_p ) was up 2.18% or 3600 points to 169100 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Magnit (MCX: MGNT ), which lost 5.01% or 189.0 points to trade at 3582.0 in late trade. NOVATEK (MCX: NVTK ) declined 2.97% or 35.00 points to end at 1145.00 and PhosAgro ao (MCX: PHOR ) shed 2.29% or 60.0 points to 2555.0.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 106 to 95 and 23 ended unchanged on the Moscow Stock Exchange.

The Russian VIX , which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was down 2.47% to 28.850.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.25% or 3.00 to $1191.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.62% or 0.46 to hit $74.75 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.92% or 0.77 to trade at $84.68 a barrel.

USD/RUB was down 0.23% to 66.4144, while EUR/RUB fell 0.32% to 76.2550.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 95.43.
