Saudi Arabia shares higher at close of trade; Tadawul All Share up 1.77%
Credit: © Reuters. – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Insurance , Telecoms & IT and Agriculture & Food sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 1.77% to hit a new 52-week high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were National Petrochemical Company (SE: 2002 ), which rose 9.93% or 2.01 points to trade at 22.26 at the close. Saudi Industrial Investment Group (SE: 2250 ) added 9.91% or 2.01 points to end at 22.30 and Bupa Arabia for Coop. Insurance (SE: 8210 ) was up 9.91% or 8.68 points to 96.30 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Mouwasat Medical Services Company (SE: 4002 ), which lost 2.05% or 3.57 points to trade at 170.60 in late trade. Saudi Company for Hardware (SE: 4008 ) declined 1.79% or 2.20 points to end at 121.00 and Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance (SE: 8230 ) shed 1.60% or 1.25 points to 76.70.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 143 to 37 and 7 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 3.36% or 2.02 to $62.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 3.14% or 2.00 to hit $65.61 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.30 to trade at $1324.00 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was down 0.05% to 4.6149, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7499.

The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 90.11.
