Saudi Arabia shares higher at close of trade; Tadawul All Share up 0.01%

Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities , Telecoms & IT and Cement sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.01% to hit a new 6-month high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were National Metal Manufacturing Co. (SE: 2220 ), which rose 6.53% or 1.45 points to trade at 23.65 at the close. Dur Hospitality (SE: 4010 ) added 5.41% or 1.05 points to end at 20.45 and ALAHLI TAKAFUL COMPANY (SE: 8130 ) was up 4.94% or 1.60 points to 34.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE: 8070 ), which lost 5.59% or 1.60 points to trade at 27.00 in late trade. National Petrochemical Company (SE: 2002 ) declined 4.04% or 0.80 points to end at 19.00 and United Cooperative Assurance Co (SE: 8190 ) shed 3.88% or 0.50 points to 12.40.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 107 to 51 and 11 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.15% or 0.07 to $48.01 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $48.99 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.27% or 3.15 to trade at $1184.65 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was down 0.02% to 3.9572, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7508.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 101.84.
