Saudi Arabia shares higher at close of trade; Tadawul All Share up 0.17%

Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities , Media & Publishing and Real Estate Development sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.17%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Umm Al-Qura (SE: 3005 ), which rose 4.85% or 0.90 points to trade at 19.45 at the close. Middle East Specialized Cables Co (SE: 2370 ) added 4.35% or 0.30 points to end at 7.20 and Herfy Food Services Co (SE: 6002 ) was up 4.19% or 3.25 points to 80.75 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Nama Chemicals Co. (SE: 2210 ), which lost 9.64% or 0.40 points to trade at 3.75 in late trade. Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Company (SE: 8040 ) declined 2.56% or 1.00 points to end at 38.10 and Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE: 8140 ) shed 2.43% or 0.30 points to 12.05.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 87 to 58 and 33 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.50% or 0.69 to $46.57 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.42% or 0.69 to hit $49.42 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.68% or 8.30 to trade at $1224.40 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was up 0.03% to 4.0803, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7510.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 99.39.
