Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Retail, Building & Construction and Petrochemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Nama Chemicals Co. (SE:2210), which rose 9.52% or 0.40 points to trade at 4.60 at the close. Saudi RE Cooperative Reinsurance (SE:8200) added 8.96% or 0.60 points to end at 7.30 and BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (SE:8270) was up 8.63% or 2.70 points to 34.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (SE:7040), which lost 4.05% or 0.150 points to trade at 3.550 in late trade. Umm Al-Qura (SE:3005) declined 3.31% or 0.75 points to end at 21.90 and Saudi Airlines Catering Company (SE:6004) shed 2.29% or 2.00 points to 85.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 100 to 44 and 26 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.11% or 0.06 to $53.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.33% or 0.19 to hit $56.62 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.78% or 9.55 to trade at $1230.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.69% to 4.0174, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7503.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 100.12.
