Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Multi Investment, Building & Construction and Hotels & Tourism sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.69% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were ACE ARABIA COOPERATIVE INSURANCE (SE:8240), which rose 9.62% or 3.80 points to trade at 43.30 at the close. Abdullah A. M. Al-Khodari Sons Co (SE:1330) added 9.41% or 0.95 points to end at 11.05 and Alkhaleej Training & Education Co (SE:4290) was up 7.89% or 1.50 points to 20.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saudi United Cooperative Insurance (SE:8060), which lost 1.94% or 0.40 points to trade at 20.20 in late trade. The National Co for Glass Industrie (SE:2150) declined 1.22% or 0.25 points to end at 20.30 and Solidarity Saudi Takaful Co (SE:8290) shed 1.10% or 0.10 points to 8.95.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 139 to 18 and 12 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.80% or 0.93 to $50.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.40% or 0.77 to hit $54.17 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.23% or 2.65 to trade at $1173.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 9.32% to 4.0255, while USD/SAR rose 9.63% to 3.7504.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 100.34.
