Saudi Arabia shares higher at close of trade; Tadawul All Share up 0.72%
Credit: © Reuters. – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Agriculture & Food , Telecoms & IT and Petrochemicals sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.72%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Methanol Chemicals Company (SE: 2001 ), which rose 8.93% or 0.50 points to trade at 6.10 at the close. Al Sorayai Trading&Industrial Group (SE: 1213 ) added 5.78% or 0.65 points to end at 11.90 and Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE: 8050 ) was up 5.51% or 0.65 points to 12.45 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE: 8310 ), which lost 6.86% or 0.60 points to trade at 8.15 in late trade. Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE: 8140 ) declined 4.88% or 0.30 points to end at 5.85 and The National Shipping Co. (SE: 4030 ) shed 4.14% or 1.80 points to 41.70.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 100 to 41 and 27 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.69% or 0.26 to $37.49 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.98% or 0.39 to hit $39.45 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.29% or 15.80 to trade at $1239.60 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was down 0.46% to 4.2552, while USD/SAR rose 0.00% to 3.7502.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 94.62.
