Saudi Arabia shares higher at close of trade; Tadawul All Share up 1.61%

Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Petrochemicals , Insurance and Cement sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 1.61%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Halwani Bros (SE: 6001 ), which rose 9.74% or 4.20 points to trade at 47.30 at the close. Al Hammadi Co (SE: 4007 ) added 9.52% or 2.60 points to end at 29.90 and National Petrochemical Company (SE: 2002 ) was up 9.19% or 1.25 points to 14.85 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Al Alamiya Cooperative Insurance (SE: 8280 ), which lost 6.65% or 1.40 points to trade at 19.65 in late trade. Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SE: 4210 ) declined 5.17% or 1.15 points to end at 21.10 and Saudi Printing & Packaging Company (SE: 4270 ) shed 2.92% or 0.35 points to 11.65.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 102 to 48 and 19 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.06% or 0.03 to $47.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.18% or 0.09 to hit $49.15 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.24% or 3.15 to trade at $1320.55 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.00% to 4.2064, while USD/SAR rose 0.12% to 3.7546.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.29% at 95.59.
