Saudi Arabia shares lower at close of trade; Tadawul All Share down 0.40%

Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Insurance , Petrochemicals and Retail sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.40%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were United Electronics Company (SE: 4003 ), which rose 5.69% or 3.82 points to trade at 71.00 at the close. Falcom Petrochemical added 4.93% or 1.40 points to end at 29.80 and Yanbu Cement Co. (SE: 3060 ) was up 2.64% or 0.81 points to 31.50 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE: 8050 ), which lost 9.98% or 3.02 points to trade at 27.25 in late trade. Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance (SE: 8230 ) declined 9.96% or 7.50 points to end at 67.80 and Malath Cooperative Insurance Co (SE: 8020 ) shed 9.95% or 1.81 points to 16.38.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 123 to 58 and 4 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.62% or 0.38 to $61.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.48% or 0.31 to hit $65.20 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 6.50 to trade at $1319.10 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was down 0.21% to 4.6295, while USD/SAR rose 0.03% to 3.7513.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 89.89.
