Saudi Arabia shares lower at close of trade; Tadawul All Share down 0.41%

Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Energy & Utilities , Agriculture & Food and Multi Investment sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.41%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Dar Alarkan Real Estate Development (SE: 4300 ), which rose 9.90% or 1.23 points to trade at 13.66 at the close. Methanol Chemicals Company (SE: 2001 ) added 3.80% or 0.34 points to end at 9.29 and Saudi Chemical Company (SE: 2230 ) was up 3.51% or 1.10 points to 32.40 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Saudi Electricity Company (SE: 5110 ), which lost 9.86% or 2.51 points to trade at 22.94 in late trade. Saudi Company for Hardware (SE: 4008 ) declined 4.25% or 4.79 points to end at 108.00 and Southern Province Cement Co. (SE: 3050 ) shed 3.85% or 1.84 points to 45.90.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 111 to 64 and 8 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.93% or 0.53 to $57.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.88% or 0.56 to hit $63.90 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.50 to trade at $1243.20 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was down 0.11% to 4.4009, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7506.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 94.08.
