Saudi Arabia shares lower at close of trade; Tadawul All Share down 1.36%

Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Energy & Utilities , Media & Publishing and Petrochemicals sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 1.36%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co. (SE: 2300 ), which rose 4.69% or 0.60 points to trade at 13.40 at the close. Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (SE: 8311 ) added 2.69% or 0.64 points to end at 24.44 and Saudi Fisheries Co. (SE: 6050 ) was up 2.44% or 0.90 points to 37.75 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Saudi Industrial Export Co (SE: 4140 ), which lost 7.54% or 7.30 points to trade at 89.50 in late trade. Saudi Company for Hardware (SE: 4008 ) declined 6.94% or 5.00 points to end at 67.00 and Saudi Electricity Company (SE: 5110 ) shed 4.38% or 0.70 points to 15.30.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 160 to 19 and 7 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 3.59% or 1.73 to $46.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 3.25% or 1.86 to hit $55.38 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.65 to trade at $1259.05 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was up 0.67% to 4.2972, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7523.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.63% at 95.880.
