Saudi Arabia shares lower at close of trade; Tadawul All Share down 0.24%

Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Insurance , Retail and Media & Publishing sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.24%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE: 8070 ), which rose 10.09% or 5.75 points to trade at 62.75 at the close. Saudi Industrial Development Co. (SE: 2130 ) added 5.88% or 0.70 points to end at 12.60 and Najran Cement Company (SE: 3002 ) was up 5.36% or 0.60 points to 11.80 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE: 8140 ), which lost 7.75% or 1.10 points to trade at 13.10 in late trade. Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE: 8310 ) declined 6.67% or 1.35 points to end at 18.90 and Bupa Arabia for Coop. Insurance (SE: 8210 ) shed 3.52% or 4.75 points to 130.25.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 88 to 62 and 19 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.85% or 0.99 to $54.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.83% or 1.02 to hit $56.86 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.88% or 10.85 to trade at $1244.15 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was up 0.16% to 3.9653, while USD/SAR rose 0.02% to 3.7506.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 101.10.
