Saudi Arabia shares lower at close of trade; Tadawul All Share down 0.31%

Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Retail , Insurance and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 0.31%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE: 8310 ), which rose 6.67% or 1.25 points to trade at 20.00 at the close. AXA Cooperative Insurance Company (SE: 8250 ) added 5.70% or 1.20 points to end at 22.25 and Mouwasat Medical Services Company (SE: 4002 ) was up 3.57% or 5.25 points to 152.25 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE: 8140 ), which lost 4.15% or 0.60 points to trade at 13.85 in late trade. Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (SE: 7040 ) declined 3.54% or 0.350 points to end at 9.550 and Arabia Insurance Cooperative Co (SE: 8160 ) shed 3.26% or 0.45 points to 13.35.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 114 to 35 and 27 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.30% or 0.16 to $53.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.25% or 0.14 to hit $56.00 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.86% or 10.95 to trade at $1289.05 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was down 0.33% to 3.9867, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7499.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 100.31.
