Saudi Arabia shares lower at close of trade; Tadawul All Share down 0.69%

Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrial Investment , Insurance and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.69%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Ash-Sharqiyah Development Company (SE: 6060 ), which rose 5.98% or 1.80 points to trade at 31.90 at the close. Al Andalus Property Co SJSC (SE: 4320 ) added 2.68% or 0.55 points to end at 21.05 and Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE: 8050 ) was up 2.54% or 0.40 points to 16.15 in late trade.

Biggest losers included The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE: 8030 ), which lost 9.95% or 2.20 points to trade at 19.90 in late trade. Basic Chemical Industries Co (SE: 1210 ) declined 9.45% or 2.40 points to end at 23.00 and National Industrialization Co (SE: 2060 ) shed 7.60% or 1.25 points to 15.20.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 124 to 32 and 22 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.18% or 0.56 to $47.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.12% or 0.56 to hit $50.78 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 2.32 to trade at $1221.22 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was down 0.09% to 4.0724, while USD/SAR fell 0.02% to 3.7498.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 99.64.
