Saudi Arabia shares lower at close of trade; Tadawul All Share down 0.95%

Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Insurance , Media & Publishing and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.95%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were The Saudi British Bank (SE: 1060 ), which rose 1.67% or 0.30 points to trade at 18.30 at the close. National Agriculture Development Co (SE: 6010 ) added 1.33% or 0.25 points to end at 19.10 and BANK ALBILAD (SE: 1140 ) was up 1.32% or 0.20 points to 15.35 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Wataniya Insurance Company (SE: 8300 ), which lost 9.83% or 2.30 points to trade at 21.10 in late trade. Filing & Packing Materials Co. (SE: 2180 ) declined 6.47% or 2.40 points to end at 34.70 and Trade Union Cooperative Insurance (SE: 8170 ) shed 6.35% or 0.80 points to 11.80.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 151 to 10 and 8 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.01% or 0.45 to $44.25 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.15% or 0.54 to hit $46.35 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.55 to trade at $1310.85 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was down 0.15% to 4.1775, while USD/SAR fell 0.02% to 3.7498.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 96.11.
