Saudi Arabia shares lower at close of trade; Tadawul All Share down 0.99%

Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Energy & Utilities , Petrochemicals and Industrial Investment sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 0.99%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance (SE: 8230 ), which rose 3.17% or 1.40 points to trade at 45.60 at the close. AlJazira Mawten REIT (SE: 4331 ) added 2.61% or 0.55 points to end at 21.60 and Saudi vitrified clay pipes co. (SE: 2360 ) was up 2.16% or 1.25 points to 59.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE: 8140 ), which lost 5.60% or 0.75 points to trade at 12.65 in late trade. The Saudi Investment Bank (SE: 1030 ) declined 4.78% or 0.62 points to end at 12.35 and The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE: 8030 ) shed 4.51% or 0.95 points to 20.10.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 146 to 18 and 13 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.49% or 0.26 to $52.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.60% or 0.33 to hit $55.03 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.42% or 5.40 to trade at $1286.50 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was up 0.45% to 4.0095, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7504.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 99.77.
