Saudi Arabia shares lower at close of trade; Tadawul All Share down 1.10%

Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Sunday, as losses in the Media & Publishing , Hotels & Tourism and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 1.10%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Arabian Pipes Company (SE: 2200 ), which rose 9.74% or 1.30 points to trade at 14.65 at the close. Saudi Real Estate Co. (SE: 4020 ) added 9.74% or 1.90 points to end at 21.40 and Arriyadh Development Co. (SE: 4150 ) was up 3.39% or 0.65 points to 19.80 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE: 8310 ), which lost 4.47% or 0.40 points to trade at 8.55 in late trade. Anb Insurance (SE: 8011 ) declined 4.47% or 1.00 points to end at 21.35 and Gulf Union Cooperative Insurance (SE: 8120 ) shed 4.44% or 0.50 points to 10.75.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 150 to 14 and 5 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 5.09% or 2.55 to $47.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $49.04 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 4.39% or 55.40 to trade at $1318.50 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was down 2.29% to 4.1716, while USD/SAR rose 0.09% to 3.7522.

The US Dollar Index was up 2.46% at 95.63.
