Saudi Arabia shares lower at close of trade; Tadawul All Share down 1.12%

Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrial Investment , Building & Construction and Media & Publishing sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 1.12% to hit a new 3-month low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Makkah Construction&Development Co (SE: 4100 ), which rose 2.13% or 1.75 points to trade at 83.75 at the close. Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE: 8070 ) added 1.87% or 0.45 points to end at 24.55 and Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE: 8050 ) was up 1.60% or 0.20 points to 12.70 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Red Sea Housing Services Company (SE: 4230 ), which lost 10.11% or 2.70 points to trade at 24.00 in late trade. Wataniya Insurance Company (SE: 8300 ) declined 9.51% or 2.55 points to end at 24.25 and United Wire Factories Company (SE: 1301 ) shed 8.18% or 1.95 points to 21.90.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 139 to 20 and 10 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.52% or 0.73 to $47.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.94% or 0.47 to hit $49.49 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.01% or 13.55 to trade at $1332.55 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was down 0.42% to 4.2218, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7502.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 94.74.
