Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Multi Investment and Petrochemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 1.49% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (SE:8180), which rose 9.73% or 4.00 points to trade at 45.10 at the close. Emaar The Economic City (SE:4220) added 2.63% or 0.35 points to end at 13.65 and BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (SE:8270) was up 2.17% or 0.40 points to 18.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mobile Telecommunications Company (SE:7030), which lost 10.06% or 0.80 points to trade at 7.15 in late trade. Fitaihi Holding Group (SE:4180) declined 7.14% or 1.15 points to end at 14.95 and Saudi Steel Pipe Company (SE:1320) shed 6.03% or 1.10 points to 17.15.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 142 to 21 and 7 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.12% or 0.05 to $41.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.23% or 0.10 to hit $43.81 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.02% or 13.55 to trade at $1348.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.27% to 4.1595, while USD/SAR fell 0.00% to 3.7505.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.23% at 96.53.
