Saudi Arabia shares lower at close of trade; Tadawul All Share down 1.62%

Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Energy & Utilities , Financial Services and Telecoms & IT sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 1.62%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Solidarity Saudi Takaful Co (SE: 8290 ), which rose 10.98% or 0.95 points to trade at 9.60 at the close. Arabia Insurance Cooperative Co (SE: 8160 ) added 9.94% or 0.90 points to end at 9.95 and Al-Jouf Agriculture Development Co (SE: 6070 ) was up 9.77% or 2.50 points to 28.10 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Samba Financial Group (SE: 1090 ), which lost 5.32% or 1.25 points to trade at 22.25 in late trade. Saudi Cable Company (SE: 2110 ) declined 4.83% or 0.35 points to end at 6.90 and The Company for Coop. Insurance (SE: 8010 ) shed 4.56% or 4.00 points to 83.75.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 82 to 69 and 17 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.76% or 0.75 to $43.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.87% or 0.83 to hit $45.15 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.02% or 0.25 to trade at $1240.45 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was up 0.35% to 4.2417, while USD/SAR fell 0.03% to 3.7498.

The US Dollar Index was down 0.41% at 94.35.
