The following company announcements, scheduled economic indicators, debt and currency market moves and political events may affect South African markets on Monday.


Exchange operator JSE Ltd JSEJ.J . releases data on foreigners' buying and selling of South African bonds and stocks during the previous week.


The South African rand fell more than 10 percent versus the U.S. dollar on Monday to hit its lowest levels since June 2016, as massive falls in the Turkish lira spread to other emerging market currencies. The rand fell to as low as 15.70 rand per dollar ZAR=D3 , down more than 10 percent from late last week. MARKETS
